Waking up early in the morning. (even earlier than Secondary school days)
Going to Orchard when the sky is still dark. I've never seen Orchard so empty before.
Taking bus 16 to Kallang stadium. No, I'm not going there to jog, please.
Going into the freezing cold tentage, get the walkie-talkie and those red umbrellas.
Sitting in the freezing cold tentage, yet again, with fellow NYPians, enojoying the snacks provided by our SAOs.
Finding our respective bus driver and policeman.
Going through all the rides on the empty bus with zero delegates, 1 bus driver, one policeman, and of course, 1 bus host (that's me!).
Staring into empty spaces when we've (driver, police and me) have got nothing to talk about.
Watching the TVMobile that has been looped so many times that I can remember what they are going to show next.
Memorizing and recognizing the route the we've got to go for at least thrice a day. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Yep, I definitely miss IMF. Took a bus to Orchard before going to watch Singapore Idol on Sunday. Went the same old route. Turned back specially to look at the 3 hotels, Goodwood Park, Grand Hyatt, and Marriott.
Although we were complaining before IMF started, I guess most of us are missing right now. Didnt know that it has such a great impact on me.

IMF is over! Well, at least for me. =P
Day 1 Early in the moring, met Eve at the Dhoby Ghaut bus stop. Had a mini short distance run cause we alighted one stop earlier. Yes, it was my fault. Got into the tent and I was getting really excited. (Energy level: 90%)After signing in then know that I'm a reserve. Disappointment. (Energy level: 50%)Stayed in that freezing cold tent for almost two hours before a bus was allocated to me. I could say that sitting alone with all strangers ain't a good thing.
Boarded the bus and started to chat with the policeman. Yep, every bus has a policeman. Hoping to receive huge crowd from the various hotels to come onboard the bus. It didnt turn out that way.
G5H to HQ. Leaving Suntec to Goodwood Park with zero delegate onboard. Over.
G5H to HQ. Leaving Goodwood Park to Grand Hyatt with zero delegate onboard.Over.
G5H to HQ. leaving Grand Hyatt to Marriott with zero delegate onboard. Over.
G5H to HQ. Leaving Marriott back to Kallang with zero delegate onboard. Over.
Fast forward >> That was how my days went by. In total, 11 delegates throughout the 5 days. Isnt there suppose to be 16,000 delegates/officials coming to Singapore? Where are they? I can only see lots of people who are working for the S2006. Something's wrong here.
This S2006 has been the hottest topic right now. Voices are saying that Singapore isnt prepared enough despite the huge amount of money pumped in. The flowers and decorations that you see along the whole stretch of Orchard road to Suntec city, the 4 million smile campaign, and the greatly enforced security over at the Suntec area. These are just the outer cover that Singapore is trying to show. But deep down how many are there who are in great support of this Singapore 2006?
Singapore is paying much more to get the name out of it. Just look at the 'department' that I'm in- transportation. Buses on the roads are always empty. A waste of resources. One of the policemen was saying, 'Now is the time for people to commit a crime cause more than half of the police force is down for IMF.'
Ha ha. Right. Certainly, after the whole event there should be a feedback session. Simply just for people to voice out their thoughts. Well, I guess that tenants in Suntec city or even Marina Square have lots to say.

Everybody say 'SHINHWA'!
'SHINHWA!'
Everybody say 'SHINHWA!'
'SHINHWA!'
Everybody say 'Sarang hey'
'Sarang hey!'
Yeah, I've went to Shinhwa's concert over at the Indoor stadium last sunday. one day before september 11. All the Shinhwa's fanatics were dressed in orange, even their light sticks were orange in colour. My sis wore pink despite asking me to wear orange. Well for me, a white tee with yellow print. At least yellow is still a warm colour. Hee hee....
Oh, that was my first time stepping into the National Indoor Stadium after living on the very same island for the the past 18++ years. =) Great highlights during the concert - 'Minwoo's dance!' Slick dance moves.
For that supposedly-most-famous-and-yet-ugly guy, Eric, he was just moody throughout. Argh.
For my next concert,
taadaa!
Lee Hom! Yipee!

Canon production this week. IMF next and the following week. I'm fully packed. How i miss going out with my friends.
A month from now, I'll be out of NYP- attachment. Not much of excitement over here. Perhaps, I'll be missing school. Going into the society isnt that welcoming enough for me. I still prefer schooling!
To all my friends out there,
do remember to keep in touch even if all of us are busy.
saying 'How are you?' is a simple gesture which shows that you care.
Sometimes, the circle of friends will become smaller just because you didnt put in the effort of keeping in contact with them. Others will be disappointed. Yeah, this happened before. Messages not replied, calls not answered. How much time does it take for one to reply a message or even to answer a call? Ask yourself. You're just being lazy.
